One snowy night, so windy and wild,<\/em>
\nwas the scene for this new one: The Rough Furlough\u2019s Child!<\/em>
\nIt\u2019s based on a story, you have probably read,<\/em>
\n(When the kids are bathed, so tired and ready for bed).<\/em>
\nSo this time the child, instead of the Dad<\/em>
\nand a year – what a year – what disruption they\u2019ve had!<\/em>
\nThere\u2019s been the home teaching, a bit of a chore<\/em>
\nand toys scattered everywhere – can\u2019t see the floor!<\/em>
\nEveryone has been there, including The Rough Furlough\u2019s Child.<\/em>
\nDevoid of their friends. Schooldays exiled. \ud83d\ude41<\/em>
\nPeople all say they have missed out such a lot,<\/em>
\nWell let us tell you for Christmas we\u2019ve got\u2026<\/em>
\nFirst there\u2019s Ice Skating – it\u2019s outside and real ice,<\/em>
\nGreat for fresh air and healthy – that\u2019s nice.<\/em>
\nIt\u2019s fantastic fun, a real family win,<\/em>
\nand if they need some stability you can hire a penguin.<\/em>
\nThe Rough Furlough\u2019s Child will have such a good time,<\/em>
\n(But we do recommend that you pre-book online).<\/em>
\nThere\u2019s Santa he\u2019s here in a magical land<\/em>
\nand that is not all – so much we have planned…<\/em>
\nLike Anna and Elsa – they\u2019ll sing and have tea<\/em>

\nSomething for everyone, that\u2019s the Whilton Locks way.<\/em>
\nSo that\u2019s almost it for this monologue,<\/em>
\nOh except Santa Paws – Christmas for your Dog!<\/em>
\nSo families together, the year reconciled,<\/em>
\nIt\u2019s now time to celebrate with your Rough Furlough\u2019s Child!<\/em><\/p>\n
